The Balance Gellhorn Pessary is a flexible medical-grade clear silicone device designed to fit inside the vagina to support the uterus, bladder, and/or rectum. It is primarily used for managing third-degree prolapse or procidentia. The cervix rests behind the flat base of the pessary, with only the stem visible at the vaginal entrance during a Valsalva manoeuvre. It requires a relatively capacious vagina and an intact perineum.

The Flexible Gellhorn Pessary is widely used to provide effective support for third-degree prolapse or procidentia. During use, the cervix rests behind the flat base of the pessary, with only the stem visible at the vaginal opening when the patient performs a Valsalva maneuver. This device is best suited for patients with a spacious vaginal canal and an intact perineum.

Prior to unpacking, ensure that the package remains unopened and sealed within the provided medical sachet in box. Prior to utilizing the device, ensure the following:

  • The device is in an unblemished and undamaged condition, free from cracks, dents, or breakage
  • It exhibits no discoloration, uneven coloration, or surface mold, among other abnormalities.
  • Do not use these pessaries on a user with a known silicone allergy.

If any of the aforementioned defects are identified, DO NOT USE THE DEVICE and promptly REPLACE IT.
